A Ghost In The Guest RoomScoop up a Texas map and plan an itinerary for a hauntingly fun visit to the Inns, B&Bs, and Hotels found in this book. So much of early Texas history lingers in these lovingly restored hostelries, along with a long-term resident ghost or two. Thoughtfully divided into seven regions, there's a place nearby, or one on your way to wherever you may want to go. Author Olyve Abbott has traveled the entire state seeking out firsthand reports of hauntings, mysterious occurrences and tales of the just plain unexplainable, and she recounts it all in this entertaining read. Be prepared for anything; from a puff of smoke following you down the hall, to a guest you didn't expect joining you late at night. And should a lady in a polka-dot dress ask for directions to Room 36, don't be surprised when she disappears before you can answer her. If the paranormal intrigues you, these are the places you'll be most likely to find it. |

A Ghost in My Suitcase: A Guide to Haunted Travel in AmericaPack up your traveling shoes, fire up the family car, and prepare to hit the road for a haunted tour of America. Join author Mitchel Whitington as he takes you on a ghostly tour through the U.S.!
"A Ghost in My Suitcase is a travelogue of all fifty states in the USA, focusing on one particularly creepy spot in each. Told in a conversational style, the stories provide not only a brief history of the sites but also Whitington’s personal experiences in each. Some tales are tragic while others are downright terrifying. Whatever the histories, the end result are hotels where some never check out, taverns where spirits aren’t just behind the bar, and manors where long shadows dance of their own accord."
"One of the most fascinatingly, frightful fun books that I’ve read in a long time. No matter where you are going in the U.S., the author has a ghostly place for you to visit. The stories of these hauntings are matched only by the historical background that you’ll find in every chapter. A Ghost in My Suitcase is a delightfully spooky read!"
"I love this book! There are MANY haunted locations, all with photos, and the author includes a site for each of the 50 states. One of my favorite stories was from the Irma Hotel in Cody, Wyoming. The author and his wife personally experienced a ghostly phenomenon right there in the room – I was absolutely chilled! Mitchel Whitington is totally believable and credible; he is a great writer. A Ghost in My Suitcase is highly recommended!"
