Birch Creek Farms is located in scenic western Atoka County, along the Clear Boggy River and Birch Creek. The rich, fertile, sandy loam soils deposited by these two drainages provide the ideal environment for fruit and vegetable production. We utilized "sustainable agriculture" and organic practices to produce the highest quality, farm fresh produce available.
At Birch Creek Farms, we grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, grass fed beef, and lamb. Many of these fruits and vegetable varieties were grown on the farm by our earlier generations. Our produce selection includes leafy greens, such as spinach, lettuce, Swiss chard, cilantro, arugula, collards, turnip greens, and mustard greens. We also offer onions, potatoes, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, radishes, tomatoes (heirloom, beefsteak, and grape varieties) sweet bell peppers, specialty peppers, eggplant, sweet corn, purple hull and cream crowder peas, green beans, summer and winter squash, pumpkin, cucumber, watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, okra, pecans, and much, much more.
During the Autumn Harvest, you can come visit our pumpkin patch. The kids will enjoy our corn maze, hay ride, petting zoo, a bounce house, and other exciting activities. Pumpkins are available pre-picked or in our u-pick pumpkin patch. We also offer many other fall ornamentals such as gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks, straw bales, and mums. We currently have CSA memberships available for the 2009 growing season. From May-October, members will receive 20 weekly shares of our delicious, fresh produce. Deliveries are available in the North Texas area (Dallas/Plano/Frisco/McKinney).
Weekly shares will be comprised of what is currently "in season". We offer a variety of share sizes and payment plans. At Birch Creek Farms, our goal is to provide you with a wide variety of healthy, farm fresh, high-quality produce while maintaining a healthy, productive agroecosystem. Please contact us if you have questions or would like more information.
