REAL School Gardens partners with high-poverty elementary schools to design, install and use outdoor classrooms (gardens) to engage children in learning. Our program helps to improve students' lives by boosting academic achievement, cultivating pro-social skills, fostering environmental stewardship, promoting healthy lifestyles and forging connections with the food system. We currently support 81 schools in North Texas, providing more than 45,000 students and 2,700 educators with daily access to hands-on teaching and learning opportunities in the garden.
