Food is the essence of life. Seriously, when was that last time you had a great time with family or friends without it. Dreadhead Chef Michael Weinstein’s love affair with food began as a child scarfing down incredible meals at his mother and grandmother’s tables. Eating drool-worthy dishes made with homegrown vegetables and herbs from his father’s garden, he learned early the importance of fresh ingredients.

His talent and passion lead him to culinary school and then to some of Dallas’ finest kitchens. Refining his trade, he worked along side local celebrity chefs David Holben and Avner Samuel, before tempting the palettes of Dallas diners at Bay Leaf and The Grape.

Today, he is still passionate about creating great tasting, innovative foods with only the freshest, all-natural ingredients. And, as always, he loves sharing his creations with family and friends. In fact, his inspiration for Dessert Chips and Sweet Salsa came one night when he was cooking dinner for his family. He knew they were wicked good when his nephew ate the entire bowl of fruit salsa and cinnamon chips. Since then, Chef Michael has been busy creating new Dessert Chips and Sweet Salsa combinations.

His two most recent salsas are Strawberry Mango Fruit Salsa and  Pineapple, Banana, Macadamia Nut Salsa.

the Strawberry Mango Fruit Salsa is made with farm grown strawberries, sun-ripened mangos, fresh basil and a few other all-natural secret ingredients while the Pineapple, Banana, Macadamia Nut Salsa is like a tropical vacation on a chip. It's a blend of juicy pineapple, fresh bananas and toasted macadamia nuts.

Both go great with the Dessert Chips made from freshly ground corn with a dusting of just the right amount of cinnamon, sugar and spices.
