Buy USDA-approved meat from the following ranches and farms on line at EatGreenDFW

Dominion Farms in Dennison, which raises grass fed/finished beef, pastured pork (they are one of the few producers of all natural pork in the North Texas area) range fed chickens and eggs produced by layers that have access to grass daily. Dominion Farms also provides all natural lamb to its customers.

JuHa Ranch in Barry, which focuses on poultry but also raises some beef cattle for ground meat and sells a remarkable PORGO sausage which is a delicious combination of pork and goat.

P.O.P. Acres in Purdon, which sells organicly raised beef. P.O.P. Acres has 80 acres of pasture that are certified organic and 43 acres that have been in transition. All their bulls were born on their farm and weaned naturally.  P.0.P. Acres sells at the Dallas Farmers Market and at Eden's Market Days.
And here are some other ranches and farmers who sell directly to the public.

Chapin Farms in Denton County, which has a small herd of small framed, early finishing Red Angus cattle.

Darby Farms in Gilmer, where the cows are bred to registered Black Angus bulls which results in a calf that is at least 1/2 Black Angus. Many of the cows are 1/2 Angus which makes their calves 3/4 Angus. Darby Farms will deliver within a 45 mile radius or orders can be picked up at the farm.

Good Earth Farms in Celeste, which sells grass-fed lamb as individual cuts of lamb, processed whole lambs and great tasting lamb sausage with no pork. Good Earth will make drop-offs in the Dallas area or you may pickup at the farm.

Holy Cow Beef in Graham, which riases Angus cattle employing rotational pasture grazing on native Texas grasses, winter annuals and select introduced grasses. The animals benefit from the distinctive flavoring provided by the high mineral content of the rocky soils of the Palo Pinto Hill Country.

JZJ Natural Beef in Troy uses cattle raised from birth by Jack and Jo Ann Zerkle and their son Stephen and his family. Animal health, nutrition and all other general management decisions are made with a safe and healthy product in mind. We use gentle, easy handling cattle to create a safe environment for ourselves and our animals.

Rehoboth Ranch in Greenville, which raises heritage breeds of grass fed beef and lamb without any grain on 100 percent organic pastures. Rehoboth sells direct from the ranch and from three farmers markets--Dallas, McKinney and Coppell.

Sand Creek Farm which produces beef and lamb (along with pork, raw cow milk, eggs and chicken) on 170 acres in Cameron. Customers can buy from the farm as needed or purchase a $25 Farm Membership for discounted prices and first access to offerings.
