These products are all either one-of-a-kind or limited edition, so you are purchasing a work of art and helping the environment! Our products minimize the negative impact on the eco-system while making the wearer more stylish and having fun in the process (fun is important to us!)
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Millinerium product and will do everything we can do to make your shopping experience more enjoyable. Millinerium was born from Ginger Strand's dream of a "green" job that would combine her professional experience, her art degree, and a need to have fun in her job.
Indulging in her lifelong love of hats, Ginger began sewing hats for herself in a spare bedroom using eco-friendly materials and wearing them as fashion statements. Before she knew it, women around town were commenting on her hats and requesting one for themselves and their friends - and Millinerium blossomed!
Ginger grew up in Dallas, Texas and inherited creativity from both sides of the family. She has always loved fashion and costume as outward expressions of individual style and playfulness. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a general concentration in painting, sculpture, and ceramics.
Both her sculpture, which consisted mostly of earth-art installations, and her ceramics, whose clay is a product of the earth, foreshadowed Ginger's eventual involvement in the environmental movement. Upon learning that the fashion industry didn't offer many eco-friendly options, Ginger decided to forge her own path and provide an uncommon product: a line of "green" hats and accessories!
