There is a place in Texas, outside the sleepy little town of Greenville, where the cock still crows and the cows still chew their cud. Wooly lambs and frisky calves still skip and play in green pastures while children gather golden brown eggs and milk a cranky cow. Mama still wears an apron and has happy-faced twin toddlers in tow. All is peaceful and in harmony with God and His creation. It's in this setting that our beef and lamb are carefully raised and tended. It's this low stress environment which naturally produces the best meat possible for you and your family.
At Rehoboth Ranch we raise grass fed beef and lamb without any grain, and chicken, turkeys, and pork on 100% organic pastures. Our chicken, turkey and pork are supplemented by a "custom organic grain ration." Using organic grain differentiates us from all other producers of the same products in North Texas. No one else produces poultry or pork with organic grain but Rehoboth Ranch. We use no synthetic chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics or growth stimulating hormones. No feedlots. No confinement houses.
Our animals graze contentedly on pastures that are not sprayed with herbicides or pesticides. We do not give our beef, lamb, or chicken any steroids, antibiotics, feed additives, appetite enhancers, or other synthetic chemicals. We feed no animal or food by-products to any of our animals. Beef, lamb, and pork processing and packaging are accomplished at a small, slow paced, family owned and operated USDA inspected facility, and each animal is individually scrutinized by an inspector before and during processing and before and during packaging. The pastured poultry is processed at the ranch in our well equipped, state inspection exempt and registered processing facility which is meticulously run by our family members.
We raise heritage breeds of beef, lamb, pork, and turkeys (Thanksgiving and Christmas only) Farm tours are available. We do not ship.
We sell direct from the ranch 40 miles northeast of Dallas, and from three Farmers' Markets - Dallas Farmers' Market year round on Saturdays, Coppell Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings April - Novembe. From the third Saturday in April through the end of October we'll be selling at the new "Historic Downtown McKinney Farmers Market" at 315 South Chestnut, McKinney, Texas from 8-12 noon. The market recalls an experience from the past century when the local farmers brought their products to town on Saturday morning to sell them under the old shade trees and along the brick sidewalks.
