Wing Dings

Makes about 20 wings

Preparation time: 45 minutes

Cooking time: 20-25 minutes

With the growing popularity of wings-only take out restaurants, you can save time (but not money) by buying your wings ready made and tossing out the packaging before the guests arrive. But making them yourself is more fun. This recipe gives them a slightly Italian twist.

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Italian parsley chopped
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 stick butter melted
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350°F
  2. Cut the chicken wings into three pieces. Reserve the tips or throw them away. Strip as much of the skin off of the wing as possible.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan or the microwave.
  4. Mix together the ingredients except for the butter.
  5. Line three cookie sheets with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil to keep the wings from sticking.
  6. Dip the wings into the melted butter, and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture. Arrange in rows on cookie sheets.
  7. Drizzle with any leftover butter and bake uncovered in a 350°F oven for about 20-25 minutes.
